Investing in our team, our clients, and the communities our projects touch.
We care about people
At EEDN, we believe the value of a project is measured not only by what is delivered, but by what it enables for people. The spaces we help bring forward should support communities, respond to stakeholders and improve the experience of those who use them. That is why social value is not separate from our work. It is part of it.
Social value, built in
Social value can't be an endthought.
It is embedded in the way we think, lead and deliver. Our approach is shaped by responsible practice, ethical decision-making, transparent engagement and a clear intention to create positive impact that extends beyond handover.
A wider sense of responsibility
We take a broad view of responsibility. That includes how we work with staff, clients, communities, stakeholders and the wider environment. Our corporate social responsibility approach is grounded in best working practices, equal opportunities, open dialogue and behaviour that supports trust, dignity and long-term value.
Listening, engaging, including
Meaningful impact starts with listening properly. We are committed to proactive stakeholder engagement that promotes transparency, inclusion and accountability. By identifying relevant voices, creating clear channels for feedback and making engagement part of decision-making, we aim to ensure projects respond to the people they affect.
European Cancer Foundation LGBTQI+ fund
Cancer care disparities significantly impact the LGBTQI community. Research shows that systemic inequities, social stigma, and a lack of culturally competent care hinder access to quality cancer detection and treatment. We are helping the Foundation to establish a fund to help secure launch impactful projects to address cancer care inequalities for LGBTQI+ communities.
Turning principles into practice
Our social value commitments include working in partnership with communities and stakeholders, supporting clients in meeting social value objectives, promoting ethical procurement and contributing through initiatives such as staff volunteering. We also measure and review our social value performance internally and align our approach with wider sustainability goals.
Using our expertise for good
We believe professional expertise should be able to create value beyond the immediate brief. We support initiatives and organisations where our involvement can help create meaningful outcomes for people, whether through the spaces delivered, the communities engaged or the causes advanced through our work.
VIA Project Delivery
Working alongside Via, we are delivering the first women’s only addiction rehabilitation facility in the UK, providing space to transform their lives for the better, helping them to manage their health and wellbeing independently.
A people-first view of project success
For us, project success is not measured only by programme, cost and quality. It is also measured by how a project improves experience, strengthens communities and responds to the people connected to it. That is why we place social responsibility, stakeholder care and long-term value alongside delivery discipline.
Our commitment
We aim to deliver work that is commercially sound, professionally rigorous and socially aware. From community engagement and responsible practice to social value delivery and support for good causes, we want our work to contribute to something bigger than the project itself.
